Tusk at a deregulation meeting:

I have optimistic news from Brussels.

So, Rafał Brzoska and I agreed that concurrently and in parallel to our joint work with government representatives, who are seated to my right and cooperating with us on deregulation, we will also prepare recommendations for changes to European law where they seem necessary – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).

I must say that the impetus you have provided with your determination and fresh thinking on deregulation, we are trying to translate into a European impetus as well. I have, as you know, the capabilities of the European Commission, very optimistic news from Brussels. The fact that the EC has decided on specific deregulatory acts, on withdrawing 40 legal acts, is of course a first step, a preface, but I know a bit about how European institutions operate, and believe me, just like with any administration in any country, administrations, parliaments, legislative services, everyone is rather accustomed to creating new laws. And so, even without ill will, but to over-regulate our reality – he continued.
