– The European Parliament and MEPs are, of course, focused on the issue of the security white paper… pressure makes sense, so I thank the MEPs from Law and Justice, the conservative side of the European Parliament, for their reaction to the resolution on the development of European Union security – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference.

– Pressure makes sense, because this resolution was harmful to the Polish state. Ceding security competencies to the European Union at a time when the European Union is in both an identity and economic chaos would be detrimental to the Polish state – he continued.

– We can talk about the security white paper in a slightly different way [than about the resolution], meaning there are many threats in it… but the white paper is a breakthrough in that, after many years, the European Union has recognized the most important threat, which is the Russian Federation – he went on to say.

– It is not an executive document. It will be the subsequent executive decisions regarding the white paper… that will truly define the essence of the Polish state's security, and in this context, it is most important that Polish arms industry does not suffer within this strategy – he added.
