– I kindly request, on behalf of the club, for the session to be adjourned for an hour. I know this is within the Sejm Marshal's purview, therefore I ask for the convocation of the senior council and the scheduling of an additional, one-day extraordinary Sejm session for next week, to discuss and hold a serious discussion on the state of the rule of law in our country – stated Elżbieta Witek in the Sejm.

– We have not only the right but also the duty to ask questions about why this death [Barbara Skrzypek] occurred, knowing its circumstances. Meanwhile, the prosecution, instead of thoroughly investigating this matter, is threatening us with lawsuits. Please do not threaten us, we are genuinely not afraid. Regardless of what plans you have for us, we will ask how it happened that during the interrogation of an elderly, infirm person, her representative was not present, why there was no stenographer, and who prepared the protocol – the PiS MP continued.

– We know that Mrs. Barbara was alone with her fear, and facing her were 3 politicized representatives of the prosecution and the bar – she added.

– I look at you, I know many of you. I ask: what else needs to happen, is there not one righteous person among you who will say "enough" to stop this evil? And I appeal to all honest prosecutors and judges – Poland needs your courage today. Defend the law, defend the Republic of Poland – she concluded.
