– I am pleased that over these past few years, trade turnover between Poland and Mongolia has been systematically increasing, and looking at the years 2020-2025, we can confidently say that our mutual trade turnover has practically doubled – said President Andrzej Duda in a statement after a meeting with the President of Mongolia.

– Both the President and I strongly emphasized today that we would certainly have been able to achieve the level of turnover we discussed two years ago. We were counting on it to reach perhaps even $200 million in the near future. Unfortunately, this has not yet been achieved, but this is also related to, among other things, the transportation difficulties that exist between our countries today, naturally linked to the ongoing war, to the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine – he continued.

– We both have great hope that this war will soon end with a just and lasting peace… that we will not be threatened, in the broadest sense of the word, by the outbreak of another war, further aggression, further unrest that could disrupt the building of these mutual relations, both economic, interpersonal, and tourist, and in all other fields – he went on to say.

– I am immensely pleased that so many agreements have just been concluded, starting with the declaration on enhanced cooperation between our countries and the plan for this cooperation for the years 2025-2030, i.e., for the next five-year period, through all subsequent agreements that have been signed between our institutions and our universities. This is a very important step towards… the intensification of these relations, interpersonal exchange – he added.

– I hope… that Polish companies, including large ones such as KGHM, will enter the Mongolian market more strongly and that we will develop this cooperation in many fields […]. The President and I also discussed cooperation in the field of tourism – he emphasized.
