– Looking at the proposal of this bill, as well as the role of the President of the Republic as the guardian of the constitution. As the President of the Republic, who stood firm behind judges, behind the status of judges, behind the inviolability of judicial appointments, behind the separation of powers, behind all those issues related to independence, it was difficult to expect, and the President himself did not hide it in conversations, for example with Marshal Hołownia, that such a bill could find the President's acceptance – stated Małgorzata Paprocka at a press conference.

– The President has decided, in accordance with Article 122, paragraph 5 of the constitution, to veto this bill, meaning to send it back to the Sejm for reconsideration – she added.
