– You can defend yourself against bandits […] I respect police officers, they are being forced to perform certain duties, and I would certainly never think of harming them in any way, although I must say that I have an arsenal of various types of weapons, so I would probably manage […] I am not warning, on the contrary, [there is] no danger from my side, they are not in danger – said Zbigniew Ziobro in a conversation with journalists.
"In light of Constitutional Tribunal rulings, the Pegasus committee does not exist"
– I have great respect for the police, but for bandits or criminals who want to undertake such illegal actions in light of two rulings of the Constitutional Tribunal, namely the one from September 10 and the one from 2016 presided over by Mr. Rzepliński, which clearly stated that a ruling issued at a public hearing before the Constitutional Tribunal, even if not published, is already binding for state organs […] in light of these rulings, this [Pegasus inquiry] committee does not exist – continued the former Minister of Justice.
"I must defend the law against thugs"
– And if it doesn't exist, then I am an advocate for defending the law, self-defense also applies to such phenomena […] the principles of law, the Polish legal order, if anyone, then I, as a former Minister of Justice, must defend the principles of law against those who are truly thugs – Ziobro further stated.
What will Ziobro do when the police arrive?
– Of course I will open the door […] if the police arrive, I will of course inform them that rulings of the Constitutional Tribunal have been issued, which are also binding for them, but I am aware that they are acting on orders […] I will offer them tea or coffee, if they wish, and then I understand that I will go with them – added the former Minister of Justice.
