- A major game for the future of Ukraine, Poland, and Europe awaits us. Allow me to conclude my address with a heartfelt appeal to all leaders of the Western world: Europe, the United States, Canada - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Lviv. - We must all, without exception, support Ukraine at this moment more than ever before, so that the peace we all await, and no one desires peace more than Ukraine, we know this. And in the European Union, no one desires this peace more than Poland, for similar reasons - he continued. - This peace will be possible when it is just. Peace will be just when the entire Western world focuses its efforts on Ukraine. Stop speculating in any capital city of the world about Ukraine's potential defeat. This has nothing to do with the facts - he went on to say. - Ukraine, contrary to some prophecies of doom, is effectively defending itself against Russian aggression, although no one gave Ukraine a chance in the first days of the war [...]. You believed in your own strength, now is the time for the entire West to also believe in its own strength [...] in its ability to convince all actors in this grand game that Ukraine and the entire world deserve a just peace, respect for territory and borders.
