Tusk's Christmas Gift: Soaring Prices - Morawiecki Releases New Video
- Christmas is getting closer, and this year it's unfortunately marked by rampant inflation. How will this translate to the look of Christmas Eve tables in Polish homes? It's frightening to think. Donald Tusk's government has abolished the relief of 0% VAT on food - says the narrator in a new PiS clip, published on social media.
- Now, thanks to this scandalous decision, we are seeing the first effects. Butter has doubled in price. A basket of 14 basic food products cost PLN 99 a month ago, and now it has broken the psychological barrier of PLN 100 and continues to rise - the narrator continues.
The video features statements from politicians of the ruling coalition, including a Member of Parliament from Poland 2050 saying that a roll without butter can also be eaten, and Adam Szłapka on the price of butter after Rafał Trzaskowski's victory.
