A Show Trial Orchestrated for Political Orders.
- The trial of Marcin Romanowski is a show trial orchestrated for political orders. The investigation was unlawfully supervised and extended by an individual illegally holding the position of National Prosecutor. 'Appointed' through a criminal act by Donald Tusk and Adam Bodnar - wrote Zbigniew Ziobro on social media.
- Previously, Romanowski was unlawfully charged and deprived of his liberty, which was confirmed by 3 independent courts. Despite the prohibition of re-charging in the same case and based on the same evidence, he was again arbitrarily arrested with a flagrant violation of his rights - the former minister noted.
- But this was to be expected from them – after all, neither the political instigators nor the perpetrators who previously unlawfully deprived him of his liberty have faced consequences, even though Article 189 of the Penal Code strictly mandates it. Media reported yesterday that the decision to arrest was made 'at the very top.' Now they want to silence the former minister so he cannot criticize them. This is pure political revenge, not a fair trial - he added.
