There will be very serious doubts about the budget." Paprocka on the announcement of "starving

- “Starving” some constitutional bodies is simply an absolutely anti-democratic action. Am I the only one seeing it in a slightly broader context? Wouldn't a dispute with the president over the budget in the middle of a presidential campaign be convenient for the current government? - said Małgorzata Paprocka in “Graffiti” Polsat News. She continued: - Isn't this being done to present the argument: “Here you go, there are some alleged increases, funds for various payments, we are not paying several bodies – please, it's impossible to cooperate with the president, you have to choose ours”? - There will be very serious doubts. It's hard for me to imagine a budget where the Constitutional Tribunal receives 1 zł, or the National Council of the Judiciary receives a budget of one zloty - she stated. - I treat these statements by Minister Berek as a sort of finger-wagging, but I see the political context. The president cannot veto [the budget bill]; he can refer it to the Constitutional Tribunal. But I say: I think this is not about legal reasoning, but rather about constantly fueling the political conflict towards these bodies - she added.
