Regardless of whom you trust with the role of candidate, I commit to working with all my might for the victory of the Civic Coalition's candidate - wrote Radosław Sikorski in a letter to the members of Civic Platform.

The letter was published on a newly launched website.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, who is seeking the presidential nomination, argues that times have changed since 2020, and PiS is now in opposition, desperate to hold onto its last stronghold, the Presidential Palace. - Although current polls show that both Rafał Trzaskowski and I would win in the second round, let's not delude ourselves that this will be a pleasant campaign. I am ready to fight day and night to ensure our victory. I know what battle I will face, and I promise that I will not back down in the face of a brutal campaign - he writes.

Sikorski announces that as president, he will work to rebuild national unity and fight for dignity for all – because partnership unions and safe abortion are matters of respect, not ideology.

Sikorski also addresses a topic raised by Monika Olejnik. - My wife, Anne Applebaum, consciously and voluntarily chose Poland as her home. She accepted Polish citizenship and learned our difficult language. No one and nothing can take away her Polishness from her - writes Sikorski.

- Today, the vote of a precinct member weighs as much as the vote of a minister. Times have changed, and the stakes of the election have risen even higher. I know we will choose the best candidate, guided by Poland's prosperity and security - the minister concludes.
