- We must continue to effectively convince the European Union to build its own defense capabilities. [...] We are in a sense a model, because Donald Trump has repeatedly said that he will certainly help, he will stand behind those who take responsibility into their own hands, and that is precisely what we are doing as Poland; we will spend almost 5% of our GDP on defense - said Rafał Trzaskowski on RMF24. - Others in Europe must do exactly the same. It is absurd that Germany, the wealthiest country in the European Union, does not take responsibility for itself and for European security; therefore, our goal is to convince Europeans that they too must take responsibility into their own hands - he continued.
