Change of Sejm Marshal? Kobosko: I'm Not Convinced Czarzasty Will Get a Majority. The Agreement Can Be Renegotiated

- The Marshal has nothing to give away [...] there is a coalition agreement, yes, but a change in the Sejm Marshal's seat must necessarily happen through a vote, meaning there must be a majority in favor of electing someone other than Marshal Hołownia, if Marshal Hołownia decides to resign from this position - said Michał Kobosko on TVP Info, when asked if Szymon Hołownia would "give up the Marshal's seat" to Włodzimierz Czarzasty. "The Coalition Agreement Actually Envisages a Change of Sejm Marshal" - There is indeed a coalition agreement that stipulates that halfway through the term, i.e., in November next year, there would be a change in the Marshal's seat, but I will repeat again: that is November next year, the presidential elections are definitely earlier, a few months earlier - he continued. "I'm Not Convinced a Majority Will Vote for Czarzasty" - On the other hand, the candidate, because we are of course talking about Marshal Czarzasty, like any other candidate, must obtain a majority to become the Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. From today's perspective, I am not convinced and I cannot be sure that such a majority will vote for Marshal Czarzasty's candidacy - he went on to say. "Many Agreements Are Changed Because So-Called Market Conditions Change" - It will be necessary to think about it [the coalition agreement] that perhaps the situation is changing, because everything is changing [...] that the agreement, like any agreement, can undergo changes, it can be renegotiated. [...] Mr. Czarzasty is an extremely experienced politician and knows perfectly well that many agreements are sometimes changed, are renegotiated, because so-called market conditions simply change - he added.
