Tusk on Serbia, Poland, and the EU:

We Have Common Interests.

- I wanted to express genuine, sincere appreciation for Serbia's great effort in providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk after meeting with the President of Serbia. - We understand each other well, and we understand well why we have different views on relations with Russia. But I appreciate our mutual understanding even more when it comes to issues like humanitarian aid for Ukraine, and the fact that we can talk about the situation on Poland's eastern border, about Belarus, about Russia, even with sometimes different positions, but with mutual respect and understanding - he continued. - For me, Serbia's stance, after our long, very open conversation, is more understandable, but I am also convinced that our conversation opens up a much broader perspective regarding cooperation between the entire European Union and Serbia, between Poland and Serbia, but it will also foster, here without any pressure of course [...] an increasingly unified foreign policy. We have common interests, Serbia, Poland, the European Union - he continued. "EU Enlargement Must Include Serbia" - There is no reason for any conflicts or unsolvable disputes to arise. I am speaking very seriously about the European perspective for the Balkan states that are interested in the European perspective [...] The enlargement of the European Union must include Serbia, because there is no complete European Union without Serbia - he added.
