- This visit of ours here with Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz, its primary goal is to emphasize how important what you are doing here is for the entire government, but I think I can say, for the entire nation - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during exercises testing elements for the construction of the East Shield. - I am glad that the East Shield is truly getting underway. This is a joint undertaking, not only Polish, because it is connected with the efforts of the Baltic states concerning the Baltic defense line, Finland. I am also glad that it has already become a fact that the British are cooperating with us on the East Shield, and the Americans are ready. It was also good to hear from the general that for these elements, including those of so-called dual use, a lot of infrastructure will also have a civilian character, useful for people living in these border areas with Belarus, with Russia, and also partly with Lithuania, that there will be European funds for this as well, and not just from a few countries - the head of government continued. - I will also discuss this in Brussels in the coming days and weeks, and I will explain the Polish specificity with Ukraine burning at our border, with this border constantly attacked by groups of illegal migrants, organized and supported by the special services of Belarus - PDT emphasized.
