Kosiniak-Kamysz:

If There Are No Recognizable Names on the EP Lists, No One Will Vote

- There are several reasons why many people decide to run [in the EP elections] or are asked to run. I will speak about the PSL, because I am responsible for that. These are very difficult elections in terms of turnout. After a series of elections where people are already tired, local government elections showed this well, with increasingly lower turnout, from 75% to around 40% […]. European elections [typically have] a turnout of 25-30%. After a series of elections, I fear it may be even lower - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń". - If there are no recognizable names on the lists, then absolutely no one will go to vote. And the percentage result is important at the end of the journey - he stated. - Here, it's not just about personal ambitions or desires. It's a certain strategy of political parties that we must adopt to achieve good results. We will meet after the elections, and you won't ask me if this or that person ran, but what our result was - he continued.
