Tuesday's Political Agenda: Trzaskowski and Nowacka, Government on Foster Care Additions, Lewica in Zielona Góra, Błaszczak and Szefernakier on Civil Protection Bill, Lewica MPs at the President's, Motion for Glapiński to Face State Tribunal

At 10:00 AM, a joint press conference will be held by the Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, and Minister Barbara Nowacka.

The government, at its session also starting at 10:00 AM, will consider a project to increase support from the Labour Fund for performing tasks undertaken by local governments in the area of family support and the foster care system, particularly through co-financing the salaries of professional foster parents and those running family children's homes.

At 10:00 AM, a press conference will take place with the head of the PiS parliamentary group, Mariusz Błaszczak, and MP Paweł Szefernakier, concerning the main assumptions of the civil protection bill.

At 11:00 AM, during a meeting of the Sejm's Justice and Human Rights Committee, a public hearing will be held regarding the government's draft amendment to the Act on the National Council of the Judiciary.

At 11:30 AM in Zielona Góra, Lewica will hold a press conference with Marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty and Anita Kucharska-Dziedzic. The topic will be: Women's rights and local government elections. Afterwards, at 5:30 PM, an open meeting will be held in Gorzów Wielkopolski.

At 1:30 PM – on the eve of the President's final decision regarding the over-the-counter "morning after" pill bill – MPs from the Lewica parliamentary club will meet with the head of state to persuade him to sign the bill. The delegation will include Anna-Maria Żukowska, Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus, Marcelina Zawisza, Wanda Nowicka, and Paulina Matysiak. A press conference after the meeting will be held around 2:30 PM.

As announced, today at noon, an preliminary motion to bring the President of the National Bank of Poland, Adam Glapiński, before the State Tribunal is expected to be submitted to the Marshal of the Sejm.
