- As for Warsaw within the Cohesion Fund itself, I managed to negotiate 2 billion zlotys, and that's exactly how it was, because these funds were not in the [Cohesion Fund] budget. Only after talks with Commissioner Ferreira and with Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, we managed to persuade the Commission to allocate one billion zlotys for the metro and 800 million for the replacement of rolling stock. However, we expect significantly more funds from the KPO, and that the European Commission will be open to discussions to make this program more flexible – he continued.
