Kaczyński:
My Brother Died in an Attack Because He Was a Man Who Became Dangerous to Russia
- When he became President of the Republic of Poland in 2005, and earlier in 2002, when he became President of Warsaw, he took steps aimed at ensuring Poland was incomparably better secured against the Russian threat, which he perceived with full force. He undertook significant international work to weaken Russia's position, its financial capabilities, and consequently, its military ones. […] On the other hand, he also made a great effort to revive patriotism in Poland, which had been deliberately weakened before – said Jarosław Kaczyński in Gdańsk, during the ceremony of unveiling a plaque commemorating Lech Kaczyński.
- This was a policy that harmed, and could increasingly harm, the plans and undertakings of Putin's Russia. Therefore, he died; there can be no doubt about it, that on April 10, 2010, we were dealing not with a plane crash, but with an attack, a deliberately carried out assassination – he continued.
- He died because he was a man who became dangerous to Russia, but at the same time, very useful, if one may use such a term, for our homeland, but also for other nations in this part of Europe, and also Asia, that fell into Russian captivity – he went on.
