- Public media should constitute an important fragment of Poland's national interest. They should serve as a model not only for conducting informational policy but also for fulfilling educational tasks and creating models of respect for the Constitution and a democratic state. I am not claiming, and I wish to emphasize this, that pro-government stance of public media must be a flaw, but an anti-government stance could have been assessed as such. Today, we have this state of affairs. However, one thing we should all be certain of is that partisan media, operating solely for the benefit of one political camp, is a threat, a peculiar crime against the nation itself - stated Bogdan Zdrojewski in the Sejm, during the first reading of the draft resolution concerning public media.
