In Vitro Refundation Act Passed by Senate. Another Split in the PiS Caucus

The Senate has passed the bill on state budget-funded in vitro fertilization refunds. Earlier, the Law and Justice (PiS) party's motion to reject the citizen's proposal was rejected. However, in this vote, two PiS senators voted against it (Przemysław Błaszczyk and Grzegorz Czelej), and another four abstained (Anna Bogucka, Leszek Galemba, Józef Jodłowski, and Ryszard Majer).

A division also occurred during the vote on adopting the act without amendments. Three PiS senators voted in favor of the proposal – Przemysław Błaszczyk, Grzegorz Czelej, and Józef Jodłowski – while 22 senators voted against it, and three abstained. The act will now be sent to the president.
