- No, the Senate will not accept this candidacy [of Marek Pęk for Deputy Marshal] and I wanted to explain: the fact that every club has the right to have its representative in the Senate presidium is very important, because then the work of the Senate is better organized, but it does not mean that a club chooses someone, and the Senate must approve it. This is the right of choice. Being a Deputy Marshal or Marshal of the Senate means a person who must respond to and cooperate with the entire Senate, with everyone, regardless of their party affiliation. And Marshal Pęk evaluated representatives of the Civic Coalition in a very undignified way, he was punished by the Ethics Committee, and a Deputy Marshal and Marshal cannot have such a blemish - said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska on Radio ZET.
