Śmiszek:

We have draft resolutions ready to call out PiS's scoundrelism regarding the rule of law. Votes? When a new government is in place.

- The new democratic majority has developed several draft resolutions that will name - and I apologize for this word, but it's the only one that comes to mind - PiS's scoundrelism in the context of violating the rule of law. I say this with emotion, with my whole being, because I believe that what has happened since 2015 is simply spitting on the Constitution. We are 8 years into PiS rule and we are neck-deep in a legal swamp - said Krzysztof Śmiszek in "Gość Radia ZET". - The new democratic majority cannot remain silent and cannot begin a new term, a new opening, a new perspective on the rule of law with silence. Repairing the rule of law must take place in accordance with constitutional and democratic rules. Resolutions must be made. Resolutions will be made and they will call things by their name - he continued. - The resolutions will not be ready in a week, nor in two weeks. They will be ready when Donald Tusk's new government and the democratic majority are in place, when there is full power. We believe that such extremely significant acts as parliamentary majority resolutions should be adopted in an atmosphere of a certain kind of calm and certainty that such a resolution will land on fertile ground, for example, in the Ministry of Justice - he added.
