Gliński:
State-Owned Companies Should Buy Media Where Possible; Not Destructive to the Market. Currently, There's a Huge Advantage for Media Not Controlled by Government-Linked Capital.
„It is not a normal situation for virtually all local press to be in the hands of one corporation, and a German corporation at that, in Poland. This is not a situation consistent with European standards, because the media market is particularly sensitive due to its influence on the functioning of democracy. Therefore, in Poland, we must change this situation. Where it will be possible, state-owned companies should most likely buy media, but I don't think it will be destructive to the media market, creating a monopoly for the other side. At present, there is a huge advantage for media that are not in the hands of capital linked to the Polish government” - said Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Gliński on RMF FM.
