- I appeal for us to be united on Polish matters. I spoke about this today in the Sejm, and among these Polish matters, the development of the Polish military is certainly one. It concerns how the modernization of the Polish army will proceed. It concerns how Polish soldiers will be able to develop in our country, and in what state the Polish military will be in the next five years and beyond. I wish for there always to be calm political agreement on these issues. I wish for there always to be calm, political debate on these issues. A substantive one that leads to good conclusions. Conclusions that support the Polish military – said President Andrzej Duda during the ceremony of assuming supreme command of the Polish Armed Forces.
