A survey conducted by KANTAR for Civic Platform reveals that 73% of respondents would support Rafał Trzaskowski's proposal to abandon plans for the Central Communication Port (CPK) and allocate the 10 billion PLN saved towards supporting people losing their jobs. Each person who loses their job would receive a 10,000 PLN government voucher to help them through the worst period of the crisis. Interestingly, according to the KANTAR study, 67% of Law and Justice (PiS) voters share this view. - Safety and jobs are the most important things. I propose that the government's most controversial investments be postponed for two to three years, at least until we have dealt with the epidemic. The CPK budget is estimated at 75 billion PLN. It should be allocated to an anti-crisis cushion for people losing their jobs due to the epidemic. Secondly, the National Development Fund (PFN) budget exceeds 100 million PLN. It should be directed to aid hospitals. Thirdly, the funds from the Vistula Spit canal project, estimated at 2 billion PLN, should be used for bonuses for doctors and nurses – said Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference on May 27th.
