“A psychological barrier has certainly been broken [that Andrzej Duda is below 40% in polls], because everyone is only now able to assess a presidency in crisis. At a time when everything is going well, Poland is developing well, then such a model of a silent presidency, where the president takes no initiatives and merely celebrates their function, calms everyone down and generally speaking, no one asks difficult questions. However, today, in a moment of crisis, an active presidency is needed. I think that over these last weeks and months, Poles have started asking themselves why the president is solely and exclusively a president who is merely a silent witness to events,” said KO presidential candidate and Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, at a press conference in Solec Kujawski.
