- Minister Szumowski deserves the highest honor I can imagine, because it was precisely his actions that allowed us to make the most sensible decisions. Thank you very much, Minister Szumowski. It was when the whole world was facing a great challenge that his composure, self-control, knowledge of the subject, and his gigantic work ethic led to us, along with sanitary services, other services, including economic and financial ones, being able to make the most appropriate decisions that were necessary at the time to, on the one hand, respect and protect human life and health, and on the other hand, to already begin working on saving the Polish economy from the very difficult situation it found itself in during March and April. We see what is happening in France, Spain, Belgium, or even in Sweden or Great Britain. In the richest countries in the world, one could say, these richest countries could not cope with the coronavirus epidemic, with the pandemic, in the way we did. Thank you very much to the Minister of Health for such excellent action, for the decisions we jointly made to protect Poles – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference at the ELSIT company in Gliwice.
