Budka:
Tomorrow Our Objection Will Be Voted On, and I Believe All Decent Parliamentarians Will Vote Against Discussing Electoral Matters
- We have submitted an objection, which will be voted on tomorrow. We objected to discussing the Electoral Code at today's session, to passing amendments to electoral law. Our strong objection in this regard has been maintained. It cannot be the case that Poles are waiting for help, for anti-crisis solutions, while PiS is dealing with changes to the Electoral Code. Moreover, an amendment has just been submitted that is intended to guarantee postal voting in the presidential elections. There has been, is not, and will not be agreement on this, which is why our objection in this matter will be voted on tomorrow, and I believe that all decent parliamentarians will vote in favour of not dealing with electoral matters - stated Borys Budka at a briefing in the Sejm.
- Tomorrow it will become clear whose voice is genuine. Whether it is the voice of those who do not want to discuss electoral law, like the opposition parliamentarians, or those who, against the wishes of Poles, want to focus on themselves rather than the most important matters. I hope and deeply believe that tomorrow we will end all speculation regarding electoral law, and what was declared today by Prime Minister Gowin, that the elections cannot take place on May 1st, will be upheld tomorrow, and the Sejm will not agree to introduce changes to the Electoral Code - he continued.
