This time of crisis also shows that not everyone is rising to the occasion. I would like to say that I am disappointed by the 'total opposition' represented today by forces like Civic Platform. For me, it is disappointing that in the European Parliament, Civic Platform, together with all other political forces in the EP, made a unanimous decision that we would develop opinions and vote remotely. In Poland's case, political cynicism won, party games triumphed over the health and safety of Poles - stated Robert Biedroń in a recording published on Facebook.
- This is a great risk that did not need to be taken. It is a risk that, in my opinion, serves only to allow Civic Platform MPs to shout a bit, hold a press conference, and has nothing to do with common sense, rational thinking, or being a substantive opposition. This is a great disappointment - he continued.
- Why did Civic Platform insist on this session? It is not clear to me. Especially since in the context of the elections, Civic Platform is calling for the elections not to take place, stating that it is a threat to Poles, and in this case, in my opinion, cynicism, calculation, and party interests won, not the safety of Poles - Biedroń emphasized.
