„Dialogue in the Committee on Foreign Affairs and European Union is being abandoned. Senator Bogdan Klich, who in an aggressive manner limits his activities solely to criticism and attacks on PiS, has become the chairman of this committee. We have decided to leave this committee. We will leave one senator – Professor Włodzimierz Bernacki, who is the vice-chairman of the committee. He will attend the committee's meetings and present our stance, but as a sign of protest against Senator Klich's actions, we are leaving the committee and will not participate in it. We will not participate in Marshal Grodzki's foreign trips. We will not legitimize the conduct of his foreign policy” – said Deputy Marshal Stanisław Karczewski of PiS at a press conference in the Senate.
