- I also want to state very clearly that the Banaś affair is a PiS scandal, and we, as Civic Coalition, will not agree to attempts to shift responsibility onto the opposition. Suggesting any solutions like changing the Constitution or regulations is completely absurd, especially in a situation where Marian Banaś, hand in hand with PiS, led to the appointment of two PiS politicians as Vice-Presidents of NIK last week. According to our assumptions, we are dealing with a certain fiction, a certain manipulation of the situation, because even if Marian Banaś suspends himself or resigns, NIK will be run for many years by acting officials who were yesterday's PiS politicians - stated Tomasz Siemoniak at a briefing in the Sejm.
