- Minister, I congratulate you wholeheartedly, and I also thank the Prime Minister for this nomination and for the request to appoint you to this office. Finance, investment, and development are essentially everything we want to function as well as possible in Poland. So, enormous responsibility is in your hands, but also – it must be said – in very experienced hands that have been able to skillfully manage finances. I am thinking here primarily of those European funds, which you, Minister, have dealt with for years, once, long ago, as Undersecretary of State to the late Minister Grażyna Gęsicka in the Ministry of Regional Development, then in the next government, this time of the United Right from 2015. Initially in the Ministry of Development, and later as Minister of Investment and Development recently in Prime Minister Morawiecki's cabinet. Now, additional responsibility for Polish finances too. And I thank the Prime Minister that after the recent changes, there is a new Minister of Finance. Because even though elections are approaching, or perhaps precisely because elections are approaching, in politics, it is always a time of some unease, and therefore, it is also a time of a particular situation in the state. It is good that this office of Minister of Finance is filled - stated President Andrzej Duda at the Presidential Palace.
