– There is one more question, or rather a demand, that I've heard almost every time. People are demanding peace and reason. They would like someone to emerge who can reconcile everyone. That's what they say. Someone who would introduce normalcy, order, and agreement. Someone before whom even the worst yappers would have to temper their tongues. Someone who will think about people and ordinary life matters. They want a new quality. Someone who won't engage in political warfare, but in diligent work. Someone who won't pay attention to other politicians, but will focus on human issues. The longer I listened to this, the more I came to the conclusion that there is only one such person. And it is precisely she who should be our common candidate for the position of prime minister. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is the people who have chosen our candidate for prime minister. – Today I announce that I will propose the Civic Coalition's candidate for prime minister in the person of Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska – informed the opposition leader. – One must listen to people, truly listen to people, and Małgorzata, a Varsovian, a woman of success, a mother, listens to people, she knows how to listen. With the same attention and respect, she talks to an ambassador in the philharmonic as she does to a saleswoman at a city market. In both cases, she can establish an equally warm and cordial relationship with her interlocutor. She knows life, she knows what Polish families need. She was an excellent Marshal of the Sejm.
