Długi:

For Now, I Haven't Made the Decision to Run

"For now, I haven't made the decision to run [in the parliamentary elections]. Knowing how things stand from the inside at the moment, it seems to me that the role of a movement striving to be diverse and open in this time of a great war between the duopoly, well, the role of such a movement is very limited," stated Grzegorz Długi in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach". - Not everyone can withstand this very difficult situation that MPs in the so-called Substantive Opposition find themselves in. It is much more comfortable to be in the camp of power, where one has authority, sinecures of power, all the pleasures of power, or to be in a more or less total opposition, where one is a hero fighting for freedom in the streets, where one is at the top of the barricade and has that heroic halo. However, being in a substantive opposition is hard work, it's about showing who is doing what well or badly, proposing alternative solutions. It's so un-media-friendly, boring, difficult, and on top of that, you get hit from both sides, because both sides try to fight this kind of opposition, as neither the one nor the other needs it," added the Kukiz'15 MP. He emphasized that the core of the movement is doing well and enduring.
