- Very bad, first and foremost, because Prime Minister Szydło is a very experienced politician precisely in this area, in the scope of this committee, so this function would certainly have been fulfilled by the Prime Minister with dignity and great professionalism. Prime Minister Szydło received the largest number of votes, so I am very surprised. This is building strange, bad standards. I am very disappointed with this decision. The vote was secret. I'll also mention, as a side note, that our votes in the Senate, which were once secret personal votes, we have made public - stated Stanisław Karczewski in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1, commenting on the rejection of Beata Szydło's candidacy to head the European Parliament's Committee on Employment and Social Affairs.
- I hope this is an incident that will remain behind us, and we will build good standards in the EP and in the EU - emphasized the Marshal of the Senate.
