- With great joy, I can share the information today that the Council of Ministers has adopted the draft bill concerning "Emerytura Plus". Our seniors, our pensioners, our mothers, grandmothers, grandfathers, fathers are the custodians of our tradition. They have passed on all their knowledge to us. It is also this love that they have showered us with, and today, within our means, we want to provide pensioners with certain additional funds. This is precisely the minimum pension, "Emerytura Plus", for everyone in the same amount, as it seemed a bit fairer to us to divide it in this way. If someone has a slightly higher pension, they will also receive the same amount as someone who receives a lower pension - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. He added:

"Generally, in our economic and social program, we focus on dignified earnings for Polish families and Polish employees. We talk about European levels of earnings, and from the perspective of those who are no longer working, we want their pensions to be increasingly dignified year by year, taking into account various aspects, especially the rise in prices, but also economic growth. And this year is the first year in 30 years where we have such a triple action. For pensioners, action for pensioners that benefits all pensioners. Firstly, it was a cash indexation, at least by PLN 70 per month. When you multiply that by 12, it's PLN 840 annually, and this was something that was also noticed as beneficial for those pensioners who receive the lowest pensions. The second aspect, an element of our program for pensioners, is precisely what we are presenting to you today, namely "Emerytura Plus". And the third is the reduced PIT in the autumn, because with the reduction of PIT from 18% to 17%, mathematically speaking, that's a 6% reduction, and thus it's a noticeable amount. Again, it will be slightly different for those who have pensions of PLN 2500, 2800, 3000, and different for those who have PLN 1500 or 1700, because that's how taxes work, but for everyone, it will proportionally be a small, negligible, but still a financial boost in the autumn. Thus, our triple actions are, in my opinion, very important and good."
