Błaszczak:

PO-PSL Coalition Politicians Said Poland, the Budget, Cannot Afford Security for Poland and Poles

Michał Olech

- Modernization is a process. Today we are focusing on the past. For years, for instance, money that was in the state budget was unfortunately not spent. During the rule of the PO-PSL coalition, we estimate that over PLN 10 billion was not spent over those 8 years from earmarked funds, because these are funds that are in the state budget every year. The PiS government has been spending money since the end of 2015. I am responsible for last year. We spent 2% of GDP. In addition to these large contracts, we also purchased mortars for the Polish Army produced in Tarnów, and drones produced in Bydgoszcz - stated Mariusz Błaszczak in a conversation with Michał Adamczyk on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości."

- Asked about the previously mentioned unspent money, the Minister of National Defence replied: - Exactly. It's as if this money just disappeared. The politicians then governing in the PO-PSL coalition said that Poland cannot afford it, that the budget cannot afford security, for ensuring security for Poland and Poles. The PiS government has ensured that, for example, budget revenues and the execution of the budget for 2018 are excellent. The Polish economy is developing, the deficit is the lowest in history, and the situation shows that one can govern well, that PiS governs well.
