Wednesday's Political Agenda: Salvini's Visit, NBP Conference, and Further VAT Commission Hearing

The Italian Interior Minister will be visiting Warsaw today. Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, along with Minister Joachim Brudziński, will deliver statements to the media at 12:30 PM. A wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at 1:00 PM. A meeting with Jarosław Kaczyński is also planned. While the time is not yet known, Wyborcza.pl reported yesterday about a press conference scheduled for 4:45 PM.

Starting at 10:00 AM, the parliamentary investigative committee for VAT fraud will be hearing testimony from Tomasz Tratkiewicz, the former director of the Goods and Services Tax Department at the Ministry of Finance. At 11:00 AM, Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin and Minister Jadwiga Emilewicz will hold a joint press conference. Also at 11:00 AM, the National Movement and the Freedom Party will organize their own briefing in the Sejm.

At 10:00 AM, a briefing regarding personnel and wage policy at the National Bank of Poland (NBP) will take place at the NBP. A press conference following the Monetary Policy Council's (RPP) meeting will also be held today. The RPP has been deliberating since yesterday, and this is the council's first meeting of the year.

Also at 10:00 AM, President Andrzej Duda will participate in a conference summarizing the project "Development of adaptation plans to climate change in cities with over 100,000 inhabitants." Later, at 1:00 PM, PAD will receive letters of credence from new ambassadors.
