- The organization of a joint Independence March is very close to my heart. I appeal once more to everyone, to our opposition, to our political competitors, as well as to the organizers of the Independence Marches from past years, to march together. So that no one capitalizes on it politically. I myself declare from my side that I will go somewhere at the very back or somewhere in the middle. I will be hidden, because what matters most to me is that we march together, in one march. This is a day on which we should set aside mutual resentments and, in homage to our ancestors, those from 100 years ago, those from 98 years ago, and we are in the Silesian Voivodeship, so it's impossible not to mention the three wonderful, patriotic, independence-oriented Silesian Uprisings, which ended in victory against the might of Germany. The Silesian insurgents chose then, and from this land, I appeal for us to organize this march so that it becomes a great march of unity for our state, for our nation. For those who fear that some fascist or anti-Semitic banners might appear at the march, because irresponsible people or provocateurs might do something like that, my proposal would be that only white and red flags could be carried at this march – said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing in Tychy.
