Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski Appointed Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development "I offer my warmest congratulations, and at the same time I see you as a person taking on great responsibility. Matters concerning agriculture are extremely important. It is a vast area of our country's economy, incredibly vital. We are talking about Polish agriculture, Polish food, food security, issues that are so significant, which to a large extent form the foundation of our development on one hand, and on the other, a difficult field that for many years was not treated well and did not receive sufficient attention from those in power" - said President Andrzej Duda during the appointment ceremony of Ardanowski. "For 2.5 years, we have been trying to change this. Much has been accomplished. We must thank Minister Krzysztof Jurgiel for his service in this extremely challenging position. I am convinced that Minister [Ardanowski] will manage. We have discussed matters of Polish agriculture so much, we have attended meetings with farmers so many times. I know that the Minister not only knows agricultural matters perfectly, but also understands this community perfectly as a member of it" - the President added.
