Duda: Let No One Ever Disturb the Georgians' Right to an Independent State Again - Almost 10 years ago, the late Polish President Prof. Lech Kaczyński stood not far from this spot, together with other leaders of our region, to protest against the aggression towards Georgia and to call on the world to stop it. He gave us a still relevant lesson in geopolitics – in the face of threats and challenges from an aggressive world, we must always stand together. Acting together, we are a force – stated President Andrzej Duda during the celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of Georgia's regaining independence. As he added:
"Georgia and Georgians have the right to independence and to live in peace. They have the right to choose their own path and directions of integration. Poland continuously supports the Georgian nation's aspiration for European and Euro-Atlantic integration. This is a right that no one can question. The doors to the Union and NATO should remain open for states and nations that share the values recognized by these communities."
- I wish Georgia and Georgians peace and security, prosperity, and further development for the next 100 years. Let no one ever disturb the Georgians' right to an independent state again! – concluded Duda.
