Sejm Shortens Session: Rules Committee Suddenly Convened, Second Voting Block in the Evening
According to the schedule, a two-hour voting block will commence at 4:30 PM. The second was originally planned for tomorrow, but has ultimately been moved – it will begin at 9:00 PM and last until 11:00 PM. Consequently, the session will conclude today. A break is scheduled between 7:15 PM and 9:00 PM, and the second reading of the project concerning CPK is also on the agenda.
The Law and Justice party (PiS) intends to adopt the draft law on a 20% reduction in parliamentarians' salaries during this session. Therefore, the rules committee concerning this matter, which was originally planned for tomorrow at 8:00 AM, is being held just before the vote. As MPs are informing on social media, at 4:11 PM they received an SMS notification about the meeting convened for 4:10 PM.
The list of votes includes, among others, the draft amendment to the judicial laws, as well as a motion to reject in the first reading the draft amendment to the act on biofuels and liquid biofuels.
