Ziobro on the Komenda Case: There Was a Lack of Sufficient Diligence

Ziobro on the Komenda Case: There Was a Lack of Sufficient Diligence "It's not that there are only bad people in the justice system, whether prosecutors or judges, who made gross errors or behaved unprofessionally. It's not that in any justice system in the world one can escape errors and mistakes, but in every case, everything must be done and the highest procedures observed to prevent such mistakes from happening. Unfortunately, one cannot say that about this investigation and this case. There was a lack of sufficient diligence and a lack of professionalism on the part of those conducting this proceeding. The further consequences were that subsequent court instances issued convictions against an innocent man, including the Supreme Court, which saw no grounds to question such a ruling, which deemed the evidence in this case insufficient. This case would have continued, justice would have continued to fail in this matter, had it not been for a few people in the prosecutor's office, the positive heroes of this case" - Minister Zbigniew Ziobro said at a press conference.
