- This is, above all, an entirely non-political commission. There are no politicians involved; the Sejm makes the appointments, but the candidates are primarily nominated by various professional organizations, naturally from the medical sphere - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference in the Sejm.

- This commission is intended to have quite broad powers. It will not be subject to any state body, and in this sense, it is also entirely non-political. Its purpose is simply to conduct investigations related to the oversight of healthcare units covered by the relevant act - he emphasized.

- An body is to be established that, within a certain timeframe – it certainly won't be weeks, and we hope it won't be years – will be able to determine what happened at the Southern Hospital, but also what is happening in other hospitals, because you must remember that complaints about the situation in healthcare have, if one has any awareness, a very long history - said the PiS leader.

- We are dealing here with a certain radical deficit, and this is also a cultural deficit, although stemming from different sources. This leads to situations that are not only criminal, such as the collection of entirely unjustified salaries, essentially, in the broader sense of the word, large-scale theft, but we also encounter events like those in the morgue, indicating a complete lack of empathy - he continued.

- This commission will focus solely on hospitals in a certain part of Poland. This affects a total of several million people, around 5 million, perhaps a little more. Warsaw along with the voivodeship, but this will naturally serve as a basis for considerations regarding healthcare in other locations as well. We believe this is the right path, because a parliamentary investigative commission, today in the Sejm, where the ruling coalition holds the majority, and it is what it is, would merely be a mockery of the truth, of everything connected with the very idea of investigative commissions - the PiS leader pointed out.
