- I am very happy, today is a really important day for me. We are rebuilding the pillars of the rule of law in Poland. Institutions that were destroyed were the National Council of the Judiciary, the Constitutional Tribunal, the Supreme Court - said Waldemar Żurek at a press conference.

- Today will be the first inaugural session of the National Council of the Judiciary in a new guise. We prepared a good act on the National Council of the Judiciary, but unfortunately it was vetoed by the president - he continued.

- Meanwhile, judges and the ruling parliamentary democratic majority have found another solution to reconcile the act that is in force today [...] and all the recommendations of the courts, both Polish Supreme Court judges, the legitimate ones, and European court jurisprudence - he went on to say.
