"Secretary of State Marcin Bosacki met with the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, regarding the naming of a Ukrainian military unit after the 'UPA heroes' and Ukrainian proposals for resolving this situation" - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed on X.

"Minister Bosacki presented the Polish stance, emphasizing that the Ukrainian President's decision caused pain and outrage in Polish society, which has supported Ukraine's defense from the very beginning of the Russian aggression. The Minister stressed that mutual relations must be built on the foundation of historical truth, respect for victims, and dialogue," - reads the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"An important point on the agenda was also a summary of current military actions and the situation on the front line in the context of further diplomatic scenarios and conditions for peace talks," - it was informed.

"Minister Bosacki and General Budanov confirmed the strategic nature of Polish-Ukrainian cooperation and its importance in facing the challenges related to regional security and Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine," - it was noted.
