"We want to launch 5 such clusters in the coming months, in the next dozen or so months, but for this, one condition is necessary: we must have stable financing. These 5 modules, these 5 scanning sets [...] that the Border Guard wants to launch on our borders, are to be financed from the SAFE program" - said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference on the Polish-Belarusian border.

"That is why it is so important that these funds, without all these political discussions, without this political froth, are simply released as quickly as possible, so they can serve Polish security" - he continued.

"Mr. President, the Polish border, Polish officers need modern equipment. Funds from SAFE are precisely to build such systems" - he went on to say.

"We cannot wait. There is no more time to wait. Mr. President, I am making a fervent appeal to you, once again. Please remember that if the SAFE act is not signed, the services of the Ministry of Interior and Administration are in the worst situation, because the possibility of using these funds is the smallest" - he added.

- Of course, we will look for an alternative solution and do everything we can to secure these funds for such systems. But these funds are available here and now. All that is needed is the President's signature. [...] Once again, I appeal, Mr. President: please do not hesitate, please end these fruitless discussions, this political back-and-forth, with arguments of poor quality, I must say, and there is one argument: Polish security, and that should unequivocally convince you" - he stressed.
