- The essence of the SAFE program is the modernization of the Polish army, where the procurement needs, the needs for military equipment, were identified by the best experts from the General Staff of the Polish Army. The SAFE program also offers an opportunity for the police and border guard for rapid modernization. It is a chance for investments in infrastructure to facilitate military mobility – he continued.

- The decision made by President Nawrocki is not against the government – it is against the security of the Polish state. It goes against the expectations of the Polish Army, against development opportunities for the Polish arms industry. And most importantly – against public opinion, expressed for instance in recent polls – indicated the Minister of National Defence.

- Today marks the 27th anniversary of Poland’s accession to NATO. On such a day, we would expect decisions from the president that strengthen our alliance, not weaken it. Decisions that accelerate modernization, not hinder it. Decisions that build the strength of the Polish Army, not jeopardize the Polish soldier – he continued.

As the Deputy Prime Minister pointed out: - The decision made by President Nawrocki hinders the process of modernization and transformation of the Polish army, particularly the acceleration of this process, but fortunately, it does not make it impossible. We will utilize, in accordance with Poland’s raison d’état and public interest, all possibilities to not waste this great success that Poland has achieved in Europe by devising the SAFE program and becoming its largest beneficiary.

- We will simply utilize other legally existing possibilities, such as the Armed Forces Support Fund, to implement and accelerate the great process of building the strongest army by 2030 – announced WKK.

- We will do everything to ensure that values such as freedom, independence, and sovereignty are not just lofty slogans, but are defended by force – by the strength of the Polish army, the strength of our alliances, and the strength of Polish society. We need the SAFE program for Poland to be secure, and we will implement this program – he concluded.
