This Modern Infrastructure Reflects the Excellent State of Polish-Lithuanian Relations.

- A few moments ago, President Gitanas Nausėda and I shook hands, standing on a viaduct that physically connects Poland and Lithuania in particular, but also connects the Baltic states through Poland to Western Europe. This engineering achievement also has a symbolic dimension. It connects two nations with a common, glorious history and shared values – said President Karol Nawrocki during the ceremony to open a section of the Via Baltica highway.

- This road, which we are officially opening today, Via Baltica, is much more than just a transport route for us, the nations of Central Europe. It is a link that strengthens our relations, brings our societies closer, and contributes to the resilience of our region. This modern infrastructure, which we admire today, reflects the excellent state of Polish-Lithuanian relations – he continued.

- This road has a dual purpose: it serves both economic development and the strengthening of the region’s defense capabilities – he went on to say.
